This lot was grown by over 500 small-holder farmers within Sidamo, a region of the Oromia state in Ethiopia, and processed at the Qilenso washing station in Guji. Grown at 1900-2000 MASL, coffees from this part of Ethiopia are unique not for their geographic transparency, but for their genetic traceability. While most coffees from Ethiopia are uncategorized and labelled as “heirloom”, this lot has been identified as grown predominantly from Bourbon and Typica coffee trees.
