This lot was grown in the Oromia region of Ethiopia, by the Nano Chala cooperative in the Limmu woreda, which lies in the Misraq (Eastern) Welega Zone. Grown at 1700-1800 MASL, in the pre-existing forests of south-central Ethiopia, the coffee here is selectively picked by hand, and processed using water from the many perennial rivers of the region. Once picked by the co-operative members, the cherries are taken to the local mill, where this lot is soaked overnight in water, and dried slowly over many days.
