This lot comes from the Ngozi Society in Northern Burundi, close to the border of Rwanda, which is managed by a board of directors who are farmers within the Society itself. With 800 small-holder farmers contributing to the cooperative’s 5 washing stations, lots are kept separated until they are dried and cupped to increase quality. Whilst Burundi is still an emerging producer within the specialty world, this lot is an exciting example of the many high-quality coffees coming to us recently from Burundi.
