More than 37 years ago, a farmer named José Adolfo Hernández began producing coffee in Sacatepéquez, Guatemala. Over the years, José discovered that this region, nestled between three dormant volcanoes (Volcán del Agua, de Fuego, and Acatenango) has ideal conditions for growing great coffee. Now José works with other farmers of the region to help them produce the best coffees they can. These smaller farmers now sell their coffees collectively under the name “El Pino”.
